Look Familiar?

Do you know where we are?

Yes, we're back in the studio.

And I have a confession to make.

I wasn't happy with the way my photos turned
out for the party last weekend.

If you remember, my walls were gold;
a great color for my kitchen,
but my studio...not so much.

I'd been wanting to paint in here,
since the paint bug bit me.

But I didn't know if we could move the heavy computer desk.(?)

We had our kids here over the weekend,
and since 30 year old backs are stronger than %* year old backs,
we had some help with the furniture.

So I decided to jump in and go for it.
I hate to waste paint,
and I had a gallon left over from the
 Dining Room extravaganza!

Ta Da!!

no more gold.
just my favorite creamy white.

Like I said, I'm happy (for now) with my kitchen color.
I was so inspired with all the great studio spaces,
I just was ready for the change.

I'm soooo much happier.

Everything looks so much better against this light and fresh wall color.

Even Baby is happy!!

Thank you, Kathleen,
for giving us an endless inspiration

White Wednesday, Pretty Little Girls

Weekend before last, I had a little free time to indulge my need to be a teeny bit creative. I couldn't find my red bingo cards that I was hoping to use to make some vintage Valentine hang-ups. I believe that is known as "dis-organization". So I used some of my vintage photo albums instead, to show off a couple of my favorite images.

This young lady in her shepherdess dress is so precious. I don't know the occasion, but I find her to be totally captivating. A millinery flower and some lace that Jill sent me, and old white buttons add just a little bit of embellishment.

This sweet little child's Valentine couple
became my banner photo for this week.

Angel vine is such a favorite of mine (and my kitties). This heart topiary that I found at Inspirational Home is setting in the Dining Room on the buffet. Charlotte climbed aboard to celebrate Valentine's Day.

And my little alabaster girl on the Living Room
hearth is adorned with a red rose wreath.

With all this cold weather, my face and skin,
 kinda feel like she looks!

And these little cards are unlike any I've seen.
They have flaps that fold in,
 to make their own envelope.

The centers are silk that have been printed.
Anyone know anything about these?
They are so unique and detailed.

Kathleen at Faded Charm
is our wonderful hostess for
White Wednesday.
Drop by and see all the beautiful Whites!

Hope you are planning on a sweet
Valentine's Day,

Feel the Love!

Silver Sunday, I'm a basket case...

...for silver, that is!
Yes, here I am after losing my head for these
sweet painted silver wicker baskets.

(just decided I felt like being silly today.
After yesterday's post,
I gave myself permission!)

This one is holding one of my younger daughter's
 wedding bouquets.

And these little gals are in my studio,
just there to brighten my day!

They behave themselves pretty well.

Love the paint patina, here.

And this is a little vignette of two
of my silver-plate baskets,
full of Valentine goodness.

Be sure and join the rest of us Silver Sunday groupies
with Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal.

Have a wonderful weekend!
love,
Debra
