A Tale of Two Give Aways, and a Winner

Recently I received an amazing gift box from my very talented friend, Shelly Rollins of Bunglow Bling. I was one of the fortunate recipients of her latest Give Away, and I just had to share all the beauty that came from that package.

Shelly creates wonderful romantic party accessories; from crowns, garlands, and cake toppers to lace jewelry. Her attention to detail is what makes her one-of-a-kind jewels so sought after.

Just one of her many beautiful pieces, this "Paris" themed hanging cone.

This was such a special surprise, filled with wonderful bits and bobs of lace and ephemera; I gently removed each piece of loveliness.

Scrabble tiles say it all, Shell.

Sweet birdie that will be moving into one of my nests.

Please run by Shelly's blog and take a peek on her sidebar of all the pretty things to choose to make your next party honoree feel like a Queen.

And to announce the winner
of the French Bleu Vintage Give Away...

Congratulations to Honey at 2805
for winning this wonderful Give Away of a $50 Gift Certificate

Go have some fun!

xoxo,

What's on the Sideboard this Month?

My late summer obsession with all things "sunflower"
has also taken over the hallway sideboard...

I found this wonderful vintage look botanical wall hanging at my friend Robin's store, The Vintage Suitcase, and knew it would be perfect hanging from my old window above the sideboard.

I wanted to bring in some deeper colors,
and the black framing of the print plays off the other darker accents.

like this old fruit tray that I found earlier this year.
Looks sorta "Fallish" to me...
(counting down the days)

But the real fun came
when I was able to use a few of my husband's demijohns,
and then two wine bottle crates that I picked up recently
for about $10 each at Relics.

the one above is much smaller, but has a hinged lid.

I thought this soup tureen with the grape design would be fitting in the wine box, also giving it a late summer grape harvest theme. (another almost Fall thought)

It's sitting alongside some sunflowers and black-eyed susans
in an old galvanized florist bucket.

A stack of white ironstone plates atop a platter
and an old carving set make it buffet ready.

(my sweet sis gifted me with the great ruffled ticking tea towel
from Pottery Barn last year)

I had fun bringing this all together,
I think it will stay for awhile...
at least until Pumpkin time.
(please hurry, I'm sick of this summer heat)

I'm joining in on these parties this week:

Thrifty Treasures at Southern Hospitality
Make it Pretty Monday at the Dedicated House
Nifty Thrifty Tuesday at Coastal Charm
Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life
Tweak it Tuesday at Cozy Little House
Tuesday's Treasures at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia

Wow Us Wednesday at Savvy Southern Style
White Wednesday at Faded Charm
Open House Party at No Minimalist Here

be sure and come back tomorrow morning
when I have up a link for all your Etsy and Online Boutique items.
You can find some wonderful things!

I'm heading out to water...
story of my life of late.

Vintage Inspiration #98 Talking Trash

Blogland is full of characters...
(and I use that word "character" in the most flattering way)
so let me introduce you to one of the sweetest, funniest,
 most endearing you'll find;
Miss Debbie of Talking Trash.

Debbie with her precious miracle grandbaby, Bella

I started reading Debbie's blog Talking Trash about 4 years ago (and I remember her first post). At least a year before I started my own blog. She is one of the Grand Dames of the Texas Shows. This is how I found out what blogging was all about. Seeking inspiration for my own flea market and antique mall spaces I turned to blogging to see what all the Big Dogs were doing. I remember studying each photo that this gal posted. Her style is all her own, she's an original Texas Princess!

This woman is a creative powerhouse!

Deb confesses that she has a short attention span and gravitates to shiny objects. And she refers to her decorating ADD as to the dog from the movie "UP"; "Squirrel" Alert! If you haven't seen the movie, you should. One of the best!

Debbie is taking a giant step and will be selling at Marburger this Fall. So on any given weekend, this is how you'll find the Dynamic Duo; Debbie and her hubby, the legendary Cat Daddy, with their treasures piled high.
I'm excited to follow her as she prepares for the new venue. Knowing Deb, it will be quite the ride!

(all photos Debbie's blog)

If you're looking for Vintage Inspiration get to know Debbie;
you'll be inspired AND entertained!
LOVE YA, Deb!!!

Need MORE inspiration?

You're gonna be wowed and amazed with this
from Bliss Ranch

Ugly Lamp Makeover from Anita at Far Above Rubies

Donna's Beautiful Summer Mantle from The Decorated House

and Betty from My Cozy Corner
celebrates her anniversary with a wonderful al fresco dinner for two

(I'm lovin' that paisley table cover)

Now, just want to throw this idea out for the 2nd Anniversary of Vintage Inspiration, which will be the first week of September. I'd love to celebrate with a few Give Aways from you, the supporters of Vintage Inspiration. If you'd like to have Vintage Inspiration Sponsor a Give Away of one of your items, or a Gift Certificate to your online store or your Etsy Shop, or even your blog, then just get in touch with me. You provide the item, and it will be a part of the Big Celebration. If you're interested just email me with the subject Vintage Inspiration Give Away. I just ask that it be "vintage or vintage inspired".

You know the linky drill. I'm on the lookout for features of your blogs, so please have a link back within your post to be included. And please link up only Vintage or Vintage Inspired posts.

Check out these other great Friday parties
while you have on your party outfit!

And don't forget to enter the French Bleu Vintage
Give Away for a $50 Gift Certificate

Have a Great Weekend!!
xoxo,

Party Time!
