More on Brown Transferware...

I know that there are so many of us out here that really do have a passion for transferware. By the looks of my comments, many of us collect or at least have a few pieces. Sally from Salmagundi is one of these big time collectors, not only of transferware but of my new love, Aesthetic Movement transferware.

Sally was kind enough to drop everything and do a special post for me and all of you. Below is one of her pieces, please click over and visit Sally and see her wonderful collection. Even if the bug hasn't bitten you yet, you'll really enjoy seeing her post.

and here's a couple of Pinterest Inspiration photos,
just to "whet your whistle"...

OK, see ya at Sally's!
(next post, Nancy will give us the dish!)

  1. Thanks, Debra, for sending people my way - it's always fun to meet new-to-me bloggers. Sally

  2. I'm drooling and perhaps even dizzy a little! This are grorgeous dishes and a beautiful display. Me, I'm partial to brown everything! Happy weekend.

  3. Debra,
I've loved transferware for quite some time, especially the brown....a couple of years ago I walked into the back room of a local antique mall and saw a table covered with a pattern called prairie flowers....and fell in love. Lots of big platters, tiny butter pats, dishes, cups, saucers, gravy boat, you get the idea.
The owner just wanted to sell all of it for one price and I got sooooo lucky that day. I paid for all of those dishes normally what only one platter would sell for!
I'm off to check out the blog you recommended.

  4. LOVE transferware:) I have so much of it and it just makes me happy. I have only a few brown pieces, but they are so lovely.
    Have a great weekend

  5. This is a nice break from the hospital today... Hubby is sleeping peacefully and I am taking a break and enjoying all the fun things in blog land- Love the
transfer ware- especially the second photo with all the pieces displayed nicely in the cabinet. And the textured wall with furniture done in large check ! nice...

  6. Oh...LOVE that first brown and white room....SO pretty! I have mostly blur transferware but have always liked the brown especially!

  7. I love the brown and white also. I have a laundry room full. It is kinda hard to find, where it is affordable. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful collection. Richard from My Old Historic House.

  8. Hello Debra,
