Having a little Fall with lunch...

Even though we all haven't dived into Fall with our home decor yet,
(OK, some of us have dipped our toes into it)
retail has to be a step ahead of the season.

So when my mom, sis, and her sis-in-law headed out to lunch last week
we wanted to try out the new tea room at The Vintage Veranda.

And of course shopping the store, The Vintage Suitcase, where Robin's touches of Fall are seen everywhere.

Robin creates the most beautiful floral arrangements and wreathes...
even the wildlife want to get in on the display!

Gorgeous Autumnal tones throughout the store.

Even a hint of Halloween

Just in case you need a "hand" with some creepy decor...

Don't you just love this great black and white Buffalo Check?

And just look at this yummy lunch. A quarter of the quiche pie, with a cup of delicious cream of roasted pepper soup. Oh so Delicious!

Be watching for more information on the upcoming Fall Open House, which will be September 14-16, with a new outdoor dining area in back.

If you're anywhere near Springfield, in SW Missouri you'll want to come visit. It's definitely a "destination spot"!

A Visit to Robin's Vintage Suitcase

As one of my local sponsors, Robin's Vintage Suitcase, I'll be sharing photos of what's new in the store and giving updates on what's happening. Summer is in full swing with lots of bright colors in wreaths and accessories. The garden room is brimming over with outdoor finds for your summer porches and garden spots, and since vintage garden items are a favorite of mine it's always the first place I head.

Robin carries a wonderful mix of antiques, vintage, and one-of-a-kind finds. Also the latest in accessories from market. I'm so ready for sunflowers!!

This wonderful vintage French sofa
is dressed in a heavy linen type burlap.

Robin's creativity is showcased at every turn,
as in this fun lampshade tied with bits of this and that.

lot's of dishes and silver

There's a great selection of wonderful vintage furniture pieces, too.

Robin also creates beautiful wreaths and flower arrangements.

Fun pillows and accessories

Robin's party room, will soon become a Tea Room. The Vintage Veranda is in the planing process and is scheduled to open July 9. Stay tuned for more news on this. It's a gorgeous space with a tried and true caterer and chef at the helm. Personally, I can't wait!! Springfield is short on spots for a girl's lunch.

I found this great frenchy "cafe" pillow for my daughter in St. Louis, as I'll be heading up for a visit next week. More on what's happening next week...I have an adventure in the works!

more photos from Robin's Vintage Suitcase,
and a 3 Year Anniversary Give Away teaser coming soon,

The Vintage Veranda

In my last few posts I've been sharing the new "Shops on Scenic", here in Springfield. This last area of the Vintage Suitcase is one that is a little different; a wonderful space that can be rented for parties, showers, and wedding rehearsal dinners. Decorated in an elegant French design, you can see what a wonderful event this could host.

Hope you can make it to the Open House this weekend.

Vintage Inspiration #84 Garden Inspiration

My favorite kind of Vintage Inspiration is vintage Garden goods. I'm drawn to garden related items like a backyard bunny to fresh lettuce (or just potted petunias). Give me old gardening tools, some clay pots, and some vintage seed packets and I can be happy playing for hours. So when I found out that one of Robin's new shop areas was devoted to a garden theme, my heart went pitty pat! Here are a few photos of her new shop, "The Garden District", here in Springfield. Enjoy the photo inspiration, and if you can come by the Open House this weekend, you'll get to experience it first hand.

And here's some fun posts from last week:

Fabulous French Finds from Judy at French Laundry.
Can I just say, she has some of the most lovely things I've seen.

Amber from Junkaholics Unanimous
shared her antique booth favorite finds.
these babies are adorable, not toooo creepy...

Our gal Courtney from French Country Cottage
has THE most amazing set of vintage Italian furniture.
you have to go by and visit to get the details.

Cindy from Blessings by Cindy created this adorable lamp shade
made with fabric rosettes, so sweet!

Becky from Buckets of Burlap, who always knows how to create
some vintage inspiration, shares a new on line shop.

And from Sheila at Swirly Girl Dreams and Decor
she must have been reading my mind! Love all her flowering junk!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to come and link up to
