Garden Bunny in the Basket

With all the painting and semi-cleaning I've been doing around here I haven't been putzing with my sunporch very much. So this morning I thought I'd play a little with an old wicker florist basket and some vintage garden goodies.

I think my absolute favorite vintage items are garden related.
The chippier the better in my book.

Here my little bunns is checking out an old garden magazine
from 1959, and some yellow garden tools.

(not sayin' anything or anyone from 1959 is old, you know)

and of course peat pots...
who can resist their allure?

I used the large handle of the basket to act as a topiary form
for my trailing ivy which currently resides in an old McCoy planter.

I'm a sucker for good graphics...
Will I plant these seeds?
Probably not, but I DO love me some seed packets
and if they look vintage then all the better!

Ahhhh...morning sun on bunny buns.
It will be in the low 80's all week,
so I have some more outside work to do.

I still can't find my Easter things...
so it's slim pickens around here for inspiration.
I do have a few things up my sleeve, though.

If you have an Etsy Shop or Online Boutique

Monday Marketplace # 5

The weather was wonderful here this weekend, so I got my garden gloves and managed to clean out one of the front yard flower beds. My daisies and coneflowers were coming up under the leaves, and the little birdbath there has already been getting a workout.

Friday I had a chance to get together with Angela from Knick of Time, as she and her family were in town for the Homeschool Tournaments. We met at Relics and had a great visit and shopped and talked and even found a few goodies between us. Angela's the kind of person that you feel like you've known your whole life, I can see we'd get into all kinds of shopping trouble if we lived close.

So hey, It's Monday Marketplace!
Do you know the drill yet?
Just link up one or two of your Etsy or Online Boutique Items,
Just like any linky.
It will be up all week for you to check back on

There are so many great items for sale,
here are just a few:

Vintage Metal Clothes Hanger with Chalkboard
from my friend Angela at Knick of Time.
She has a great Etsy Shop, you'll want to browse all her goodies.

Antique Grain Sack Lavender Sachet from Elegant Farmhouse

A Beach Toile Pillow from No Minimalist

from Petal Gem

Just click on your item name on your Etsy page and join in like any linky party. Grab a photo of your item and your in. I'm giving you enough room to also leave your blog name if you're a blogger, but you don't have to have a blog to link up. Hope you'll make this your go to for a great "virtual shopping" experience.

What I came home with...

Surely you knew I must have come home from Leola's with a few goodies!

Well, the sun was shining the other day and I wanted to take a few pics
of a wonderful little pharmacy bottle that I bought.

I bought it because it was really flat,
fitting my skinny little window ledge in the kitchen.
(please ignore the dirty window...
that's on my weekend cleaning agenda)

I've also been trying to find vintage umbrellas for my sunporch,
and this cutie with a floral pattern is my latest.

Then I bought one of these little chicken feeders,
but this is a pic from the store, since I don't have any flowers yet.
just couldn't resist!

Here's the rest of the Leola's photos...I promise!

just had to share this adorable straw hat with the pink ribbon!
