French Country Dining Room for Fall

Hello Friends, welcome to the Fall Dining Room, where shortly it will make the transition to Thanksgiving. The mini French wagon is joining my Pottery Barn urn this season for a late fall look, that can easily transition to the Thanksgiving holiday with just a few minor change ups.

Autumn Tray in the Dining Room

Hi Friends, welcome to the Autumn On A Tray Tour, hosted by our lovely friend, Katherine of Katherine's Corner. If you're following the Tour Links and are coming from visiting MaryJo at Masterpieces of My Life, then a special "Hello" to you and I'm so glad you came by to visit.

A Mantle in Transition and A Rustic Centerpiece

Are you ready for Thanksgiving, friends?

We're on our own, the two of us, so I've been using this last week to do the transition from Fall / Thanksgiving to Christmas decor. I won't say it's been a quick process, but I did have one area that was relatively easy because I had a few of the elements already in place... The mantel in the Hearth Room.

French Country Thanksgiving in the Dining Room

Hi Friends, I hope you're having a lovely weekend, wherever you may be.
I'm still sharing Thanksgiving Decor here,
because well, it's still the first week of November
and we haven't even had Thanksgiving yet.
So... I'm still enjoying all the vintage goodness
that late Fall brings.

Scenes from the Late October Dining Room

Hi Friends, I need to share the rest of my Dining Room,
before it's time to change things up for Thanksgiving...

For me, decorating is a "process". Even the seasonal decorating. I have certain pieces I like to use and keep them as a basic part of the landscape. The large metal Italian basket is one of those basic pieces on the Dining Room table. The basket is big and makes a statement. The heavy chairs are also big, so whatever is on the table has to be bigger. It's also easy to add and subtract floral elements to keep the basket seasonal.
