White Wednesday Before Christmas

I'm posting a little early for White Wednesday. I have been saving these photos for this last Wednesday before Christmas. This is my sideboard that I moved into the entry hallway right before Thanksgiving. Ive had such a wonderful time decorating it for Christmas. So I didn't want to miss out on sharing it with you all.

Garden statuary with crown

White wood lantern

Feather tree I found last year at a flea market...

covered in chandelier prisms.

Lovey doves in a white sleigh.

Paperwhites and Angel Vine

Old birdcage and stand...

with a jingle bell wreath.

This is an old lithograph of the nativity
that we found this year at a flea market.
(sorry for the reflection)

Thank you, Kathleen, at Faded Charm.

Have a wonderful few days enjoying
the peace and blessings
that come with Christmas.

A "Little Light" on the Subject

Last summer we moved my in-laws into a retirement complex. Once we got them moved our work just started. We had a lot of work ahead of us to ready their home for sale. Thank goodness it is only about a mile away from our house. My husband and Son-in-Law, Chris, worked for weeks and weeks, every weekend, all summer and into the fall. (I've said "work" three times, and that's what it was: work, work, work!)

There were two chandeliers, one in the entry and one in the dining room that we replaced, as things needed to be updated. I had the small one in mind for the kitchen, but I have a canned spot over the sink that provides much needed task lighting. Finally I nudged my husband enough that he hung it in front of the spot on a plant hook, and I have hidden the cord behind the curtain. Now, I use it when I'm in the mood for "pretty", and I still have my overhead for daily use.

More of that lovely 80's decor... the wonderful scalloped header
...one more, on my "to do" project list.

It's hard to see, but there is a tiny cherub on it.

It really adds some interest above the sink and brightens things up.

Thanks honey!

Have a fun Friday!

Debra
