Vintage Christmas Monday

Hi everyone!! I survived Thanksgiving, and we had a wonderful time.  I am now up to my eyeballs in Christmas boxes, ornaments, flower arrangements and twinkle lights!

is having a wonderful party these next few Mondays until Christmas. We are celebrating our decorating for Christmas with vintage Christmas decor. Be sure and go by. There are lots of people signed up. It's not too late!

I wanted to share this little vintage Santa hanger
 with NOEL ribbons and bells.
It's hanging off my picket fence gate in the sunroom.
He is such a happy little fella!

These next few photos are from Spring Creek
Antiques and Tea Room in Ozark, Missouri.

Vintage Santa vignette

A pair of sweet angels to light up anyone's front porch decor.

And an old Santa in a vintage sleigh!

These next two photos were taken at Leola's in Ozark,
at last year's Christmas Open House.
Love all these vintage Santas and elves.

What a great way to display vintage figurines...
 in old white pottery

I should have my decorating finished by next Monday.
Hope you didn't mind seeing some
fun things from the local shops.

Have a great Monday!
And may all your Christmas decorating be Jolly!

Doors of Welcome

Hello, Everyone! Thursday is the "Doors of Welcome" Party, hosted by  Karen at Some Days are Diamonds.  I guess you could consider this a "Double Post". I participate in "White Wednesday", and if you are not familiar with this weekly party you have been missing a lot of fun. We show "whites", especially vintage ones. So scroll down to the previous post to see more of my front porch that was the subject for my last White Wednesday post.

Black Front Door

Please excuse the overgrown shrubs and hedges, it's time for their fall "haricut". Some of these photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, and I'm glad I did, because it has been non-stop rain and dreariness. We haven't had a frost here yet in southwest Missouri, so it still looks about the same. My ferns are like the jungle, the mums have bloomed, and I have added a pumpkin or two.

Threw some fall foliage in the basket

Put out my Harvest sign.

My concrete Momma and Baby Squirrels
are always there for a greeting.

I just love this varigated pumpkin!

You can read about my little vintage
black wagon re-do here.

This is a view out my front door. I have a "Black Maple" shown here, that doesn't have very pretty leaf color, and then another Hard Maple next to the front porch. It has a prettier show of leaves, but not until late fall. So I enjoy the Soft Maple across the street, which is one of the first trees to change on the block.

I wanted to share the front porch of the store
where I have a space  in Ozark, Missouri,
Spring Creek.
It's always so much fun!

Hope you're enjoying everyone's "Doors".
Welcome to the Harvest!

White Wednesday, I'm in the Closet and a 200th Follower Give-Away

My favorite time of the week,
 White Wednesday!
These are a few photos I have taken of
my little space at Spring Creek lately.
It's only 5' foot wide by 7' foot deep,
so I'm a little challenged space wise.

It's basically white.., but I like to add in some
seasonal color and decor items.

This booth is just like a little closet
...lots of smalls,
and some small furniture items such as desks,
chairs and small tables.
Notice we have a theme goin' here...
"small".

But I do love the "intimacy" of it.

These dishes aren't very old, but I just love
the fall leaves and colors with the white.

Shabby cherub lamp (2) and shade on old
ebossed white chippy chair.

Old clock face that has seen much better days.

I always have seasonal and holiday
postcards in frames.
I started decorating with old postcards years ago.
These are a few of the reproductions of
Halloween cards by Ellen Clapsaddle.

Old bottles are so fun when in a grouping
...tied up in fall colors.

The old cabinet cards found a new use
 with a wire hanger,
old button and a fall ribbon.

Praying hands

Old scales with a travel alarm clock.

Be sure and check out Kathleen at Faded Charm
 for more White Wednesday posts.

But since I was showing my space
for White Wednesday,
I thought I'd just show a few extra
photos of my booth.

This is a reproduction of a cover of
Country Home Magazine from 1933.

Old embossed side chair with another
October magazine cover from 1936.

Odds and ends on a little wicker shelf.

It may be small, but it's fun!

Don't forget we're in the middle of the
Followers Give-Away!
If we reach 200 by Friday night
I'll do an extra give-away!

Hope you enjoy the small things in life!
Debra
