This has been a week where we've been thrown back to late March. Rain, storms, chilly weather... hard to believe it was 90 less than a week ago. Lower Midwest weather can be so crazy. I've had to drag my container plants under cover to keep them from drowning! With school getting out and everyone planning for summer, we know it's a busy time of year. This was the week I look forward to all Spring... container planting time! By now in mid-May, freezing overnight temps are in the rear view mirror and we've had a chance to do a little yard and porch cleanup. I tend to go a little crazy with it, but at least I have my hubby home now to do the "heavy lifting"! February really came in with a wallop for so many of us, especially here in the Midwest. We had 5 days of rain, sleet, ice and snow, and I know many of you to the east of us had it even worse. My husband is retired as of last year, so we've been able to stay put and not risk being out in this stuff. We didn't have much ice accumulate so our area escaped the power outages this time. Hope you all are starting to thaw out and not letting bad weather get you down. We can actually see the streets and our driveway today!
