The Vintage Suitcase

This last week I headed over to one of my favorite shops here in town. You can always count on Robin to have the most gorgeous displays and beautiful decor items. Each time I'm there I come home with some great inspiration, not to mention wanting to buy out the store. Here is just a little eye candy for you to enjoy. Remember all you have to do is click on the image for it to enlarge, then click again to get all the "details".

The color of this mantel is original blue and just stunning.

Love the doggy pillows.

This is a huge and elaborate French mirror.

These next few photos are from the "Garden District".
This room is covered ceiling to floor with old windows.
I'ts like you're in an old greenhouse.

This antique paper umbrella is HUGE!!!

And yes, this reproduction seed box now lives at my house.
I had to have it!

Hard to tell, but this is a moss covered mirror.

The  fabric on the settee and chair slipcovers is Louis Vuitton...
so fun!

Robin has an endless supply of antique silver pieces

Chinese cabinet

Gorgeous jewelry and some chunky cuff bracelets.

If you're local, make plans to visit the
wonderful tea room at the shop,
The Vintage Veranda.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Be Inspired #124 What's Inspiring YOU today?

This time of year I'm craving anything pink, soft, and romantic
Valentine's Day posts have really inspired me this week,
 to look forward to Spring,
and helping to replace the cold dreary days of January,
where everything outside is brown or gray.

Here are a few inspiring links from last week's party:

Lara from Air Kissed combines her love for beautiful flowers
with her precious book find, The Secret Garden.

Liz from Quirky Vistas shared a Birthday gift with strings "attached".

Jennifer from Town and Country Living
styled a tablescape vignette with her wonderful
White Ironstone and vintage Valentines.

Isn't this just too fabulous?
A classy beverage cooler from a dairy trough
used at a country wedding reception from Lynette at  Junk Fest.

is at it again with her gorgeous French Valentine Pillow.

And Claire at The Rustic Pig
shows us her adorable repurposed drawer with the "how-to".

Today's Be Inspired is brought to you by Judy from
20 North Ora
and just a peek at some of her great Etsy Items.

Hope you'll join in for the party today,
as Be Inspired is now open to all your
"inspiring" posts, vintage or new.
Please have a link within your post to be featured.

and while you're out partying today,

The Seed Box Antiques at The Dallas Gift Market

Many of you know that I post a "shop blog" for my friends Brian and Meloney Russell of The Seed Box Antiques in Chadwick, Missouri. They don't have a brick and mortar shop any longer, but sell at many of the big events throughout the year. (Round Top, Remnants of the Past, Bottoms Up monthly sale in Kansas City, and Urban Market in Houston) They are into their third year setting up at the new area of the Dallas Gift Market for cash and carry vintage items. Here are a few photos of their space that Meloney just sent me. If you don't know them, click on over and browse through the posts. You'll find tons of great inspiration!

Totally love this idea for Paperwhites in the cement urn.
(Pretty sure I'll be borrowing this)

Brian makes these wonderful industrial light fixtures
and specializes in some amazing zinc top tables.
If you like a shabby/vintage/industrial vibe,
you'll love their blog.

The Marketplace is still going strong,
be sure and drop back by throughout the week
to see what new links have been added.
just scroll down to the next post.
