A Holiday Miracle

This has to be one of the sweetest things I've ever seen.
You know I love lambs...and a good cashmere scarf!

Just click on the adorable lambs.

Vintage Inspiration Friday #32

(This post is from the Spring, but I love doing Magazine Inspired projects,
if you're new here, I hope you'll click on new posts!
xoxo Debra)
It seems like I've been all about flowers and floral arrangements lately.
I guess that's what "Spring" does to me...
I just love to incorporate the colors of nature back into life.
pinks, yellows, lavenders...
and of course green.
And combine that with Easter coming up,
then I want an extravaganza of blooming beauty.

The watering can and umbrella are both hanging,
but I put together one of my watering cans with some faux silks
and have it setting in my sunroom so I can enjoy the view.

My love for lambs and sheep is showing here
with this precious little children's book,
Little Lamb's Hat

Don't you love the eyebrows on this little guy?
(do bunnies have eyebrows?)

Each season I love to change out my sunroom quilts and decor.
Last year I found this wonderful old quilt with all the colors of Spring,

More Sunroom next week!

And here are a few entries from last week!

pretty...

These days in January can get sort of dreary.
Like when the sky and the ground are the same gray color.
Peaceful, but a little lifeless.

So today I just wanted a little "pretty".

This Johnson Bros. pink floral vegetable bowl
full of paperwhites is almost past it's prime,
and I noticed a few kitty teeth have been nibbling.

Then, on seeing this little lantern,
the glass needs a little shine...

But if you look past the flaws
well...
it's just pretty.

I found this old white wicker tray when Rebecca was here.
I knew it would be a sweet landing place for some little January treasures.

Sure enough,
one of my little lambs has found a cozy spot.

It's days like this that remind me why I redid the Dining Room.

I like to use dried hydrangeas all throughout the year. This stem happens to be faux, but I've been mixing them with real dried and they disguise pretty well.  These are just cream colored ones I bought in the Spring, but tinted the edges with "Distress Ink" when I couldn't find them in the floral stores. Just thought I'd share a little floral secret.

I'm joining Marty for Table Top Tuesday

Kathleen for White Wednesday

Cindy at Romantic Home

Courtney for Feathered Nest Friday

Hope you're having a good week; that the snow hasn't overtaken you, and that you can find a little "pretty" in your surroundings.

love,
Debra

Tray Chic

Time to tweak the sunroom decor again.
The red, white, and blue,
has been changed out for late summer colors.
August becomes golds and greens with hints of the coming fall season.

I'm definitely one that loves the changes in weather and nature,
and my decor reflects those changes.

My friend Debra, from Inspirational Home,
has been having a summer sale,
and I found these wonderful Frenchy trays.
They are designed with hangers on the back
so you can use them as wall decor,
or as a tray.

I love all things French,
and these Provencal scenes are a favorite of mine.

(they even have sheep)

This one in the Living Room is slightly different.

Some of my English ironstone landed on the one in the sunroom.

This large pitcher with the robin and nest
was my very first piece of Brown Transferware.
It really started a heavy addiction!

I just love this tiny creamer with the delicate roses

By the end of July I'm tired of the heat and ready to wind down summer into fall.

And it looks as if my trusty assistant is laying down on the job.
She works hard all day following me around.

My desk top computer; my workhorse, decided to check out a few weeks ago.
I've had to postpone my Etsy plans because of it,
but now I have a new computer (thanks hubbs),
So I want to get started.
