Summer Flowers and Tablescapes at All About Home #155

Hello friends and Welcome to the
All About Home Link Party!

WOW, August is here and before we know it we'll be heading into Fall. This has been a rough summer weather-wise, so many of us are ready and looking forward to cooler temps. Thankyou all so much for coming by each week to share your lives and homes. I love seeing all your great ideas and beautiful inspiration!

Amber and I are excited to be hosting this weekly party
 that celebrates All Things Home.
We love to see what you're up to on Your blogs,
so please join in and share your inspiration.

This last week I've been sharing some mid-summer posts as I'm gearing up for "pre-fall". I realize that many of you love summer and want to hang on to it for as long as you can. I'm just a Fall person and think about August as being that last Hurrah before school reopens and cooler weather is on the way. I shared my Summer Floral Front Door Basket with lot's of bright summer color, and a look at the wicker sitting area in the Garden Room. It's full of black/white Buffalo Check and the start of Sunflower-mania which always hits as late-summer arrives. I hope you got a chance to check out the "Christmas in July" Hop that I joined last Monday. If you need great ideas for the upcoming season you'll want to check everyone out.

Christmas in July Ideas and Inspiration

Amber shared her wonderful post
for the Christmas in July Hop.

This week's features are all about beautiful tablescapes and summer flowers.

I love the cool blues and neutrals, shells, and candles paired with lovely white hydrangeas from Shelley at Calypso in the Country.

Wendy at WM Design House created this fun easel out of discarded picket fence pieces that she grabbed from a neighbor's renovation.  I can see this used in so many ways  throughout the year. Signs, chalkboards, artwork... so cute!

Rita from Panoply gave us a mid-summer garden tour in her new cottage. Full of beautiful blooms and landscaping ideas, this is her first full year in the garden and she's really bringing it! Loving those adorable garden angel sunglasses!

Sandra at Come to Dinner at Eight shared several wonderful summer tablesetting ideas. I love the fruit and floral motif with the gorgeous garden-y botanical feels.

Thanks Everyone!!

  1. Debra, thank you so much for featuring my cottage garden! My Mexican sunflowers started blooming on Saturday and the butterflies are everywhere, so fun! I love mid-summer but we've had twice our normal rainfall in July, so I am with you this year, looking forward to signs of fall. I love your door basket of florals. Happy Monday, and Happy August!

  3. Thank you, Debra, for including my summer tablescapes among your features! While I would relish cooler weather, I have to admit I wish the time would slow a bit, so that I could linger over all the delights summer has to offer. Have a wonderful week!

  4. Thanks so much Debra! Your mid Summer door basket is lovely, a perfect way to slowly ease into Fall. I am looking forward to the fun of Fall decorating and cooler temps, but I am going to hold on to Summer just a bit longer...I just can't believe it's already August!
