Early Fall Entry with a new Chalkboard Print

With each new season I try to create a vignette that's something a little different than I've done before. That's not always easy because there are tried and true elements that I'm happy with and just look "right". The lamp, the clock, and the shutters and mirror; those are all part of this spot. But I love to play with faux flowers, and then add a seasonal print, painting, or needlework... and what's a Fall Entry Vignette without at least one pumpkin?

I found these trailing leaf vines at Hobby Lobby, so I mixed them with Fall Hydrangeas and cat tails. This again, took several versions, and to be honest there were times that I just about ditched this idea. I kept adding Hydrangeas until it finally filled out. It's in one of my heavy iron urns that I haven't used for awhile.

I also knew I wanted some kind of chalkboard art for this spot. Once I saw this print from Dear Lillie I knew this was it. You can order it here. I have this in an 11x16 vintage frame, so I had to back it with some black paper to fill up the space, since the print is 11x14.

sorry for the reflected images in the glass...

This area can get really cluttered,
as I have a tendency to set things there
while I think about what to do with them...
time to edit.

Can you believe it's nearing the middle of the month?
Didn't it just turn September last week?

I have something fun that I'm working on
on the front porch.
I'll share it soon!

(this is not a sponsored post, just love the print)
