It'll be a Plaid Plaid Christmas...

(Wasn't that an old Elvis song?)

I'm mixing it up a little this year.
I have a lot of "stuff", and there's no way to use it all,
so I decided to try some new ideas
for Christmas this year.

I've taken things I've used in the past,
and put a new twist on them.

The Oatmeal Tree has a new look this year

New Pillows for the Sitting Room
and Living Room

My Frenchie Metal Basket
with Fruit and Hydrangeas

 Add a plaid ribbon...

duck, duck, goose...

My white tree from Fall to Christmas...

I love my birdies.

Lot's of this...

Some fun vintage baubles

Gotta have my Putz Houses and Churches.

add some Transferware

did I mention some of this?

of course there are my sheep

and lots more of these

oh, and even one of these from Santa Mom

I'm just getting started...
I'll be sharing a few things as I go.

Be sure you put the

  1. Love, love LOVE it all! Where did you find your ribbon? I bought the plaid paper last week. :)

    1. Hey Laura, I've been collecting red plaid ribbon for ages, I think most of it has come from Hob Lob or Michael's over the years. I always save bits and pieces and re-use! I'm coming by to visit at your place. Have a great Sunday!

  2. I love the pillow with the red strips - did you make them or purchased them and where?

    1. Hi Gisela, that pillow is from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I have similar pillow covers I still need to find!

    2. oh,, I just realized you meant the smaller ones on either side. I made those about 4 years ago with fabric from Jo-Ann's.

    3. Thank you, I will try to look for similar fabric, I do love Pottery Barn also for the pillow with the bird.

  3. Debra, there is always a lot of plaid here, so it is fun to see yours. Like you, I'm always picking up plaid ribbon and black and white check too. Imagine that? I've been lazy since Thanksgiving, but woke up this morning energized and ready to begin.
