Today I thought I'd share a few fun pics from previous Valentine posts. This first one is from last year on the Cookbook Nook with some vintage Valentine cottage elements. 

Valentines By Candlelight

Hello Friends and Welcome to the Lifestyle of Love gathering hosted by our friend Cindy, of County Road 407, where today we're sharing how we use candles and candlesticks in our vintage decor. This is an every-other month group where we share how we use topic items in our vintage decor. Since it's just a few days before Valentine's Day I thought I'd share how I use candles and a favorite pair of vintage candlesticks in a sweet vignette. 

Vintage Valentine Jewelry and Art

Monday at the All About Home Link Party I featured a post with a wonderful piece of Valentine Art. It was created in the style of antique and vintage art pieces created with vintage jewelry pieces and buttons. Traditionally these were created with a black or dark velvet or velveteen background.  Often times we see these for Christmas in the shape of a Christmas tree, but this was done in a heart design that I absolutely fell in love with.

Sometimes we want to do a little decorating but don't want to make a huge commitment by slathering holiday decor all around the house. Valentine's Day is one of those times that I like to gather some of my fun vintage pieces but don't necessarily want to cover every surface with hearts.

Do you have a favorite place to "putter" with decor? I've mentioned before how much I love playing in this cupboard with dishes and knick knacks. It goes back to my old days of having vintage goods spaces where every inch was fair game to "decorate" for holidays and seasons. Besides, it's good therapy for me to design and create with dishes and ephemera. And since it's Valentine's Day I'm gathering all things floral, sweet, pink, and teensy bits of red!

Hey everyone, Welcome to All About Home #181!!! I hope everyone is doing well, and finding some enjoyment during the middle of winter. I enjoy all the seasons, but find the cold and snow to be something I'd rather "fast forward" through. Today we have ice under snow, and I'm enjoying watching the tons of birds at the feeders.
