Gold Leaf Pumpkin

Can we all talk about the hours that we spend on Pinterest?
OK, maybe you're not a junkie like I am, but honestly,
 it's a place where I always leave with new ideas and inspiration.

I haven't moved on to Christmas quite yet;
 I'm still browsing ideas for Late Fall and Thanksgiving.
I like to use decor in November that can work for Thanksgiving
and that will also transition into Christmas.

Anyway, I've been admiring a Pin from Midwest Living Magazine
that used a white pumpkin with gold spray painted leaves randomly glued on.
I had some faux leaves left over from my Painted Leaf Fall Wreath,
so I thought I'd give it a try.

To be honest, I like the Midwest Living Pumpkin better than the one that I've put together, but in an effort to be real here, I want to share their version in this post too. They used a larger white pumpkin and a more narrow leaf... but I just used what I had on hand.

(really cute, and I love the little gold sprayed boo pumpkin partner)

I didn't use spray paint, but some metallic craft paint with some gold glitter.
Then I just used hot glue to attach the leaves.

My theory...
use what you have and see what you can come up with!

A little evening glow on the Entry Console.

Have a wonderful "rest of the weekend"!
