New and Old Finds for Christmas in the Garden Room

I just had to share a couple of sweet new finds for Christmas. Once I saw them they pestered me until I said yes and found them in my online "cart". I rarely buy on impulse (unless I'm at the vintage market); I take time to think on things and roll them around in my head for awhile. I hate to pay full price for something, and usually wait for a good sale. But, I just happened to be Christmas shopping, when I found something adorable (and on sale) that really needed to come live in my Cookbook Cupboard.

Once I saw this little Christmas Cabin Lenox Cookie Jar and S&P I was smitten. Here's a link, but this isn't a sponsored post. Just a cute little somethin' for Christmas to brighten your day and kitchen. I plan to keep it out all winter, not just at Christmas. It's here on the farm table in the garden room for now.

In case you missed my Home Tour last week, here's a pic of the farm table. One of the several looks it's had this Christmas Season.

It had a tabletop Christmas tree in an old orchard basket,
but it was moved out to the potting bench and replaced
with the ice cream bucket and poinsettias.

These gorgeous little "Denver Plaid" salad plates came
from Pottery Barn a few years ago.
I've noticed them on several blogs this Christmas.

Since we'd moved almost 3 years ago, I hadn't been able to find
a few of my favorite Christmas friends. I had used them every year for ages,
but they were not to be found here at this house.

But amazingly, when I started going through Christmas tubs,
they were in the first tub that I opened. what?...

The Dancing Gingerbread Man...

Shelf Sitting Santa...

and my Goose Wreath from the 80's...

... so glad to find them and have them back on the Baker's Rack in their special places!

... Old bird house and a plaid MacGregor vintage shaving boxed set.

... my red vintage French Cafetiere and more Scottish Biscuit tins.

A few fuzzy reindeer have shown up...

Little Christmas birdie nesting in some vintage tinsel garland.

And a couple more (green and basketweave) metal lunch baskets
showed up for my stack that just look like "Christmas".

I found them on a Christmas sale on Etsy.

I think I'm about ready for Christmas,
how about you?
It's supposed to be 70 on Christmas Eve...
crazy.

  2. Wow! You really pulled out all the vintage stops this year, Debra. It looks so good. You know I can totally relate to those things once thought lost, but now found. Lol, I found a Fiesta skeleton plate beneath a jadeite batter pitcher - lost for 2 yrs. At least you found yours before Christmas. I found mine after Halloween. Merry Christmas! I must now wrap, tomorrow cook/bake.

  3. Wow, I haven't found the right tote full of Tins...very weird. I know what you mean about losing things...seriously I can decorate the house three times over and not use the same things...which has to stop...LOL. Hugs, and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season, Deb. Hugs, Sandi
