Christmas Home Tour 2020

Hello Everyone,
Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas; unwrapping gifts, indulging in all sorts of mouthwatering goodies, enjoying the company of our loved ones, taking a walk/nap... It was quiet here, just the two of us, be we had a very nice day and stayed in as it was in the 20's. I'm a little late with a Christmas Home Tour, but I like to keep a visual diary of our home during the Christmas Season for myself and the blog. I'll be short on words, but I wanted to record the decor and essence of the Christmas Holiday Season, 2020.

Here we are on the remodeled front porch of our cottage.
It's been fun to decorate, and this year I used a combination
of black/white Buffalo Check and a bit of Tartan Plaid.

Welcome, come on in to the Entry

I love a cabin/woodsy look for Christmas
so I used my twiggy reindeer and faux greens for a

I can't do Christmas without Tartan plaid!
So it's all around the house.

This is a great spot to display my white ceramic houses.

More houses in the Cookbook Cupboard

I hate to admit these pics are from earlier in the year,
as I didn't decorate for Christmas here in the Living Room.
Any decor on the coffee table keeps hubby from being able to see the TV.
But I still wanted to include this space in the Home Tour.

Living Room

The Garden Room is our sunroom along the back of the house,
that is a big space with lots of room for seasonal decor.

It's so much fun to decorate the Holiday Cupboard each season.

Hope you have a great Holiday weekend,

  1. Your home is so cozy and pretty for Christmas and ringing in the new year. Enjoy these last few days before we enter into 2021. I hope and pray 2021 will be a better year for all of us. xoxo Kris

  2. Debra, I'm so happy you posted this tour! I always find your vignettes delightful and inspiring. I admit, I didn't bring as much out as I usually do, but last night at our table for two Christmas dinner, my husband said, "Thank you for making our home festive for Christmas." It has been a strange year and thus Christmas 2020 was a bit as well.
I've shared little on my blog of our holiday decor, but you have inspired me to post a bit of my own this weekend. Its a fun place to document what we did this year.
Thank you for always inspiring and supporting, Debra. I'm grateful our paths have crossed here in this community. Our friendship goes way back. 😍
Merry, Merry to you and all the best in 2021!

  3. I so enjoyed the tour of your home. Loved how you included vintage items with some newer items. You truly have a gift for decorating and I also find something I want to try. Since our retirement, we downsized from a large house to a townhouse and that can be challenging....but you keep me inspired. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to what you will share in 2021. Linda from the Blue Ridge Mtns, Virginia

  5. wow! You are amazing! Everything is just perfect! I am so glad you shared this tour as in the busy-ness of the holiday season I had missed a couple of posts. I have been lazing about the past few days savoring every last second of the holidays by reading all of my holiday magazines and catching up on tours I missed. I am heading to your hearth room now!

  7. Just lovely, Debra!! Over Christmas I took a much needed break but of course now I am totally inspired (and ready for more Christmas decor!) and your home fills my soul... I love your kitchen all decorated!! I rarely show ours because it is usually a mess... I need to remedy that. ;)

Happy New Year and thank you for a beautiful home tour! I saved a bunch of photos to Pinterest, of course,
    Hugs,
    Barb :)
