...rollin' in it!

...and lettin' it all hang out!

Last week I opened my new booth space
and I wanted to use burlap on the dividing walls.
The day before, I laid my material out to iron,
and soon it was overrun by cats...
drooling, chewing, rolling, sniffing;
a disgusting display.

Sort of like a catnip trip

I was laughing the whole time I took these.

I get this way sometimes myself,
but it's usually around cheesecake or purses.

Just wonderin' if any of you who have kitties have seen this before...?
(love this next one)

Please excuse all the fur and fatness...
just havin' some burlap bliss.

Hope you can join in on
Vintage Inspiration Friday

and speaking of VIF,
I love each one of you for taking the time to come to the party,
and love seeing all that you all share,
but I'm having a little time management issue.

I'm trying to visit each of you.
please don't leave me if I can't leave a comment every week
(oh, guilt is a hard thing)
Just needing to keep it real, kids.

love ya bunches,
and no... that's not me in a cat suit.

  6. Debra, I have cats and they do this all the time. I was playing with one of mine this weekend (I have 5). As I was sunning, one of them decided he was going to play with my hair? I was laughing so hard. Then, here recently they've decided they like to get right in my face, it's so funny. I love them.

  8. Debra, your cat is too cute loving on the burlap. My cat used to be fat like that, but in his old age he has become quite thin. I know what you mean about leaving a comment on each entry. There are not enough hours in a day and I have felt guilty, too, but surely they know we have a life besides blogging.

  24. Cute post, it really made me smile!! The cats are having a great time.
No need to apologize about not commenting on all of the VIF posts. You throw a popular party and it would be very difficult to visit everyone. I for one just appreciate an opportunity to share some vintage inspiration!

  31. Your Fur Baby Burlap Bliss is hysterical! I have a Cat that goes into rapture over plastic... it's her drug of choice! *winks* She hasn't done anything but sit on my fabrics... but if they come wrapped in a plastic bag, she's all over it in similar gymnastics to your kitty's Burlap Binge! *LOL*

  32. Funny! Burlap, what a cheap high! Haven't tried this with my kitties. I'll have to leave some out and see what happens.

  33. Ha! How cute is that??? Hey, maybe burlap is made from hemp... that would explain a lot of things. Maybe that is why my computer room is my favorite room now... it's the burlap on the walls! And here I thought the smile on my face was from my accomplishment of cleaning it!
    Many Blessings today!

  36. Thanks for the much needed laugh!

But seriously, I'm loving the idea of a burlap wall...maybe I could somehow work it into my jewelry display.

  37. Love it! BTW, I'm also planning to use burlap to cover the walls of my booth. Can I ask how you are adhering yours?

  38. I love this post! My cat Boomer only gets that way over catnip, which may be a clue. Maybe burlap just smells good, LOL! ;-) As for me, I only get that way around chocolate and lace. Hugs, Cathy
