Storybook Wedding

I think each little girl dreams of her

Wedding Day

and I was no exception.
Elaborate, or on a budget,
it can be Perfect!

My dear mom made all the bridesmaid dresses,
and helped me plan my special wedding day.

We met in August and we were married December 28, 1972,
almost 38 years ago.

I did a post last December about my
Red Plaid Wedding.

If you'd like to re-live it with me,
I invite you take a ride in the time machine.

And so began our lives together.
Joined together and kept together by God.
Without Him
we would never have found our way.

We were so young and really didn't know each other very well,
We just knew we were meant... yes,
 ordained to be together.

We have two darling daughters,
that their Daddy has walked down the aisle,
just like mine so many years ago.

And they lived happily ever after...

Please join Stephanie and all the Brides,
old and young,
at
for all the Wedding fun!

  8. Debra, this is such a lovely tribute to everlasting love! Congratulations on 37++ years together! Great pictures of your wedding and I love the way you placed each of your beautiful daughters' trips down the aisle beside yours! You should have that enlarged and framed like that!

I think your hubby and mine were wearing the exact same ruffled shirt, only in different colors! And I may just have your beautiful wedding bell topper in my collection!! :)

Thanks so much for joining in the WEDDING BLOG PARTY! I'm sure I'll be back again and again to enlarge the pics ~ I so love weddings!

  14. Debra, that was so fun to see! Oh my, my husband had sideburns like that when we met : )

A few years ago I scanned our old (non-professional) wedding photos and made a new album. It was fun to re-live the moments.
In our daughters wedding album I included a page with their parents and grandparents wedding photos. Such beautiful days in all their lives!

How delightful to see your wedding day and the day of your daughters.

  19. I just love reading about couples who have been together so long. And I do remember your red plaid wedding post. What were we thinking back in the 70's. Each decade I always wonder if we will look back & think "What was I thinking?". And so far, it pretty much ends up that way. I am so enjoying getting to know everyone a little bit better.
