Be Inspired #162 Simply Fall

Hi Everyone,
 and Welcome to Be Inspired!

There have been so many great links during this Early Fall Season, I'm excited to see what you all have coming up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I could do dozens of featured links each week! So, thanks so much for taking the time to come by and link up each week.

Jeanette from Creating a Life shared her simple Fall Front Porch, and I seem to be obsessed with Fall Porches, since right now mine looks pretty sad. What really caught my eye is this great wreath with the wooden letter. A simple garland of leaves and pine cones with a ribbon will take it from now into Thanksgiving.

Take a look at this super fun DIY Boo Marquee Sign
and tutorial from Charlie at Match Made on Hudson

Little Miss Maggie knows her way around a total reimagination of a piece of furniture. This small frenchy accent cabinet would be beautiful as a bedside table or hall table. Amazing makeover!

I've said it before but Jeanine at Chippy Shabby has the BEST vintage Holiday entry displays.  Halloween is always my favorite. Here is her latest; Vintage Halloween Owls.

gave us an underground tour of her fabulous basement.
Maybe she won't notice if I move in...

Manuela from Vintagesavonette has created a wonderful book display of her altered art, and gives us a great tutorial on how she did it.

Daena from Bad Rabbit Vintage used decoupage
to bring this wonderful little industrial table to life.

Angela at Number Fifty Three stenciled her Entry Hall
and totally changed the look of the space.

Need a Fall snack?
These Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins
from at the Moon and Me look so yummy!

thanks everyone for sharing the inspiration!

Hope you'll join in for today's party!

Time to get the party started. Here are a few courtesies:

  1. Please no direct links to Etsy Shops.
  2. Each week I see so many great links I'd love to feature, but you don't have a direct link back to Common Ground. It needs to have the name of this Blog and a link within the post, not just a link to a party list on another page.
  3. Please visit just a few of your peeps while you're here.
  4. Please be a follower of Common Ground.
  5. You can link up up to 3 of your current posts.

Thanks Everyone!

Top Visited Links from Be Inspired

So how many of you out there have been freezing today? I think most of us in the Midwest and back East had our first big frost and cold temps last night and today. This is too cold, too early for me! But Hey, it's Wednesday, so we get to see the Top Visited links from last week's Be Inspired Party.

If you haven't been by to visit Jann's fabulous Fall Front Porch at Have a Daily Cup of Mrs.Olson then head on over. She has tons of fun ideas and inspiration.

Shenita from Embellishments put together a beautiful Fall tablescape.
I'm lovin' this huge bread board as a centerpiece.

Julia from Vintage With Laces has been creating some wonderful Halloween things with crows and ravens this year. That top hat really sets off that fun pumpkin!

And you'll love seeing this charming home from New Orleans House Love
by Suzan at Simply Vintageous.

Thanks gals for all the inspiration!

Hope you'll join in for the party tomorrow,
starting 11ish am Central.

Spooky Sideboard and a Give Away Winner

I have my hallway sideboard done up with a touch of "Spookification". Just enough to be an itsy bit "weenish". I always have to apologize in advance for the photos because this is an inner hallway with no natural lighting. Sometimes I get ambitious and "clone" out the 80's monster doorbell, air vent, and the thermostat, but today what you see is what you get.

I'm still totally in love with my Pier 1 chalkboard that's all curvy and scrolly. It's sitting in front of my large paned window that's been here for a couple of years. They make a good backdrop for any Holiday or Season. My sis made the Boo Banner for me a couple of years ago, and gives just the right "fright factor". I know you're scared, huh?

I finally found a preserved boxwood wreath this Spring. I had wanted one last Christmas, but I refused to pay the big bucks prices they were asking for them. If there were deals, they were always sold out super fast. So when I found one for a good price I was thrilled. I just added some fun polka dot satin wired ribbon, then I'll just change out the ribbon and use it through the first of the year.

Since this is a sideboard and a sideboard is supposed to hold dishes, I always like to have some dishes and serving pieces sitting around appropriately. I'm using a little black wagon to hold the tureen, plates, silverware and napkins. And look who flew in...my baby snow owls and the owl collage I made earlier this Fall.

Hoooooo doesn't just love a baby snow owl?
...especially with glitter!

dead mouse and all.

I always love having something fun here to look at.
The turkeys are up next!

I promise I didn't forget about the Give Away winner.
