Christmas Mantel and Home for Christmas Features

Hard to believe we're counting down the days to Christmas now, and I still have several posts to share. Today I'm combining a little look at my Christmas Mantel and also sharing a few feature pics from the Home For Christmas Link Party, that's still Open.

I wanted to do more of a "Winter" themed mantel instead of just Christmas, because honestly, I'm usually ready to "un-decorate" the day after Christmas. Having more of a seasonal theme goes a long way to keeping things easy around here.

I'm using one of my old window boxes that we rebuilt from the old house as the centerpiece. I've used it many times before on the Dining Room Table since it's not too big or wide and it makes an easy way to contain candles and greenery for the table.

I started with three small table-top faux Christmas trees that are bagged in burlap. Then I added in some red berry picks, extra faux greenery and then some variegated faux Hydrangeas along the base. White lights and part of my collection of small Ironstone Pitchers line up in front.

Two of my small Boxwood Topiaries and my smaller PB lanterns are at both ends.
I'll be adding in some fresh Boxwood clipping next week.

The Hearth has a place for my Woodland Santa and the French Wagon, along with my pair of carved wooden candlesticks and my small olive bucket candle.

My Topiaries are fixtures here on the Hearth,
but they always get a new wired ribbon for the Holiday.

Here are a few pics of some of the fun Christmas Posts that you'll find at the Home for Christmas Blogger's Link Party. The Link is open now and will be until December 26, so please check out the Link and add your own Christmas Posts.

  2. Thank you so much for featuring my kitchen post. ;)

I am like you and I love the Christmas decor but the day after- it's gone! It feels so good at that point to declutter and get ready for a new year.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Debra. :)
