What I managed to snag while in St. Louis...

We didn't get to some of our regular antique spots like, Big Bend, Treasure Aisle, or Warson Woods, but we did make it to my favorite little shops, Tin Roof and White Swan Antiques (University City, corner of Bruno and McCausland). These are true antique "stores" not a mall. There are always great finds and good buys.

So there's this little chip on the rim,
but who cares, this Majolica was only 12 dollars!

Books for 80 cents.

immaculate grain sack, rusty yellow garden tool,
and gravy boat from England.

Since painting the Living Room "white" this summer,
I've started collecting white matte pottery for the mantle.

Anyone know about either of these white pieces?
They didn't have any markings.

And another of my small obsessions,
Biscuit tins. and if they're plaid...
well, just get outta my way!

whoops, another biscuit tin, this time in green

and a silver plate heavy platter for 5 bucks that has a little copper showing through...

nothing that a few strategically placed goodies won't take care of.
(good grief, I can't believe I haven't shown off my million dollar velvet pumpkin!)

this sweet baby isn't old, but I have Christmas plans for him.

and my next project...

...with "help"!

Vintage Inspiration Friday #48 A Day Sale

I wanted to share a few photos from the back porch of a wonderful
shop called Lula Mae's in Fordland, Missouri,
that will soon be opening for a day sale each month.

Two of my crazy friends Kenda and Jan from Leola's in Ozark

I had so many other wonderful shots from inside
the store and cottage,
but I didn't have the settings right on my camera,
so many of them were fuzzy.
(live and learn)

I know this next one is super fuzzy,
but I just had to show you this chandelier!

yes, that's right, a French flower pot for a lampshade!
(a few of those wonderful clay pots came home with me)

And I want to mention again about the new feature
I'm starting up called

Vintage Inspiration Friday: #33 New Spaces at Relics Antique Mall

It seems like only yesterday that I found a space at Relics,
oh yeah, it WAS only 6 weeks ago that I moved in.
But hey, things can change in 6 weeks...
things like the opening of tons of new booth spaces
that will be surrounding a soon-to-be-open tea room.

...so what did I do?
well, I grabbed two smaller spaces right next to each other
on a well trafficked aisle.

More space in this new area equals less "stuff" in the garage
plus a happier husband,
and a lot more people going by.

I hated to ask my guys to make another move so soon,
but they saw the great opportunity too,
so we had on "happy faces" all around.

Do you ever get the feeling "something" just isn't quite right?
Well, that's how it felt in my first space...
I guess my location just wasn't quite right

and this new location just feels right

Every time I'm there, a new dealer has come in,
so there's lot's of inspiration,
and everyone is excited to have the tea room opening this summer.

If you're anywhere in the area be sure you come by the mall.
It's huge and has the best selection of antiques and quality vintage in town.

Now for some great entries from last week's VIF:
(seriously, you guys have the BEST stuff!!!)

Many of you have asked about a VIF party button...
Well, I finally got it together.
(I do think I've pulled out lots of my hair in the process...yikes!)

I'll work on a "featured on VIF" button for next week.
thanks for being so patient.

And thanks so much for joining in for the party.
I adore each and every one of you and love seeing what you're up to!

I'm joining Rhonda for

lots of love,
Debra
