Heading to the Holidays

Hello Friends, thought I'd just wish you a fun start to the Holidays. So I found a couple of old buddies, living in the moment, that had it all together for the start of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season. I'm doing my best to ease into both by celebrating Thanksgiving and looking forward to Christmas. Why can't we enjoy it all... real time.

We had a real deep freeze hit us this week with multiple night lows down to the teens, so I think I might be ready to start thinking about Christmas. I'm not ready for red and green, but I'm bringing some nature elements together that will tie November into December.

I'm twisting my husband's arm for a drive in the country to enjoy the leaves. I remember one Halloween where my younger daughter and her friend Trick or Treated in the snow, but that's it. We usually don't have this cold weather until after November 1.

Have Fun and Welcome to the Holidays!!!

  1. Love this look! The horse is my favorite, but I'm guessing something similar may be difficult to find while antiquing.

    1. That old rocking horse was a gift from my mom and dad when I was a baby and it was an antique back then. Yes, they're difficult to find and very pricey. I'm glad my parents saved it for me until I was an adult and could appreciate him. He always gets a bow for whatever season or holiday it might be. ;)

  2. Love that horse. I bet it means a lot to you with it being yours when you were little. Have a good rest of the week. We are getting snow on Halloween. Too early. Yikes. Hugs. Kris

    1. No snow here, but it's so cold I don't know how anyone would want to take their littles out in it. Stay warm!!!

  3. I hadn't thought about it but maybe my woodland tree will make an early appearance. If the kids come for TG dinner (and I think they are) we'll have the little guys help decorate the tree. Till then, mostly fall... unless I sneak that woodland tree up!

I wasn't sure what to do for November because I still love all the fall color but now I do thanks to you. Hope you get to ease into Christmas and enjoy Thanksgiving. Thanks for the inspo Debra!

    1. Great, thanks Cindy. I like to mix it up in November! I love the evergreens and rustic look so that works mixing fall and Christmas together.
