Farmtable Vignette with Daffodils

Hello friends, it's been since the beginning of the year that I've shared what's happening here on the farm table in the Garden Room. It's late February now so it was time for an early Spring look with some daffodils and narcissus with a few pussy willows mixed in for a natural look. It's still wintery looking outdoors, but at least I can have a little green and color indoors.

Hydrangeas, evergreens sticks and pears fill up an olive bucket.

I really like my floral arrangements to look like they've just been picked from the yard or foraged from a nature walk. Sticks and branches usually mix and mingle among the blooms and grasses, no matter what the season or holiday. This season I'm using the old ice cream bucket filled with faux blooms in pale yellows and whites.

Last week I put this bucket together, but kept the old linen tablerunner and white washed reproduction bread board. I added a small fois bois white pottery pitcher filled with "real touch" small tulips, and an antique green pottery veggie bowl (Thomson Heirloom Jade) filled with a sweet bird, mosses and a small grapevine nest. But as this week after Valentine's Day, I decided it was time to add a bit of St. Patrick's Day to the vignette.

I found the moss covered wooden shamrock last year on Etsy, then added a few vintage green "Hoosier Cabinet" bottles and salt and pepper shakers. An antique post card gives an extra bit of St. Patty's Day flair.

I really love using this breadboard as the base for vignettes here on this table, because it's large and can hold a lot of smaller items so they'll be a bit more cohesive. You can check out this post to see the before and after "orange" breadboard.

Moving around and tweaking happens with every vignette; how about you?

I don't have a lot of "St. Patrick's Day" decor or vintage pieces, but I love using Greens to bring about a holiday vibe. Add in a few old postcards and you have an immediate and easy look. Do you decorate a wee bit for St. Patty's Day?

Here are a few other of my St. Patty's Day looks.

    1. Thanks Rachel, two of those green shakers were my grandmother's. I don't see many of them around at fleas. I'd love to have more of them.
