A Mantel, a Living Room, and Whatever's Left for Thanksgiving...

Hey Everyone,
today I'm going to share the rest of the Thanksgiving decor. Yes, there are bits and pieces left that have not yet made it here on the blog. I hate it, but November 1st to the day after Thanksgiving is hard to navigate in the blogging sphere. I think most of us are coming to the conclusion that there just isn't enough time to relax, celebrate and enjoy Christmas unless we get a jump on decorating. We rush around and make ourselves (and our families) crazy the moment we clean off the table and put the Turkey leftovers in the fridge.

I tend to do marathon decorating sessions in order to get it all done Thanksgiving Weekend. In the process, I don't get to relax with my family, rest, go shopping with the girls, and heaven forbid that Hubbs might want to take a nap, putter around or watch some tv... did I mention take a nap...NO. He must endure the decking of the halls with a Happy Face 😍.

Here's my Thanksgiving Mantel;
 I subtracted some pumpkins and added a couple of vintage turkeys,
 then used an iron flower thingamagigy to put recycled candle glasses in with votives.
don't ask me to repeat or explain that, please.

My favorite chair and ottoman.

I changed up the urn just a bit;
taking out the big white faux pumpkin,
and replacing it with a bunch of velvet ones.

I've brought out the plaid woolly blankets
in shades of brown.

The sofa table stayed the same.
I use cat accessories when available...

Large Mr. Turky is on the Dining Room table
with a grouping of a tureen, vintage Turkey platter,
velvet pumpkin, and more candle holders...
(whoops, those are the same candleholders, shhh)

I kept my big metal basket filled with pumpkins and hydrangeas.

I got the major Christmas decorating stuff done last weekend,
 now hopefully, I can take my time with the rest.

  5. Love your urn decorating! I don't have any Thanksgiving decor, so I skip over that. Haven't even started dragging any Christmas stuff out either. I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt. So it just doesn't seem appropriate yet.

The vintage turkeys are so cute and that large white one is fabulous! it all looks just beautiful! I'm thinking I might start decking the basement halls a little before Thanksgiving. 9. Debra, there's a reason you love fall so much....you do it SO well! Wow, I loved those views. Your thingamajigy and your favorite chair are favorites for me too, but the urn really looks sharp. I love that line of sight from the LR coffee table with urn, looking back to the entry table and door. So pretty!
