Farmhouse Table Valentine Tableau

My Garden Room farmhouse table needed a new look once February arrived. I'd been using my rustic vintage wooden ice cream-maker bucket which I've loved, but I wanted something a little more garden-y and "french-y" for Valentine's Day. I cleared the table top and tried something fresh for February.

The pottery container I'm using for the faux paperwhites is a piece I found last summer at Hobby Lobby. It's a replacement for an Italian pottery vase that my husband had given me for our anniversary one year. It had bitten the dust, and I couldn't find anything similar anywhere that was budget friendly.

I fell in love with these wonderful reproduction French wine bottles, and picked up two last Fall at a boutique when they were on deep sale. I'd saved them to use after Christmas, so they're here stacked on old books with the other romantic frenchy elements.

I'm so grateful for the light that fills this room!

After taking these first photos I thought I'd add in some of my vintage Valentine postcards to give a little more Valentine "holiday" feel to the grouping.

I've kept my concrete garden statues here in the Garden Room since there was so much work going on outside. I'm not sure I'll use them outside any longer because the pieces I have are old and porous and I want to preserve them.

I couldn't find a spot to hang my Moss Covered Heart
so I just leaned it against my Cupid adding some natural organic texture.

I'm starting to feel "mossy". It happens every Spring.

Here are a couple of posts with Paperwhites HERE and HERE

Hope to see you next Monday evening.

  4. Beautiful, Debra. I loved that mossy heart when you first made it, and now it looks super with the bottles and statute, plant. I had to sigh just a tad seeing the statue. It is one of the four season statues I sold last year from my garden. They sold the first day they were styled. :'
