Easy Patriotic Accents with Vintage Bottles

I've been gathering a few of my patriotic and red/white/blue items to
bring a little July 4th fun to the Kitchen Sitting Area...

Things are much more organized on the storage room shelves,
downstairs, but I still have a long way to go.

I was rummaging through a couple of boxes
when I found part of my vintage bottle stash.
Surprise! there were a few blue ones that appeared!

I snipped a few ivy trails for rooting
and found a bright spot in the sitting room for a few pics.

I found this one vintage post card,
but I have a couple more I need to locate.

This time of year most antique and flea spaces have
some wonderful patriotic memorabilia to pick up.
I've been collecting old flags for quite awhile.
I call this size "cemetery flags" as they were used on Memorial Day.

Having found these little specimens will have me on the lookout for more.
It's an easy way to bring in a little Patriotic Color.

I'm switching out quilts and pillows here on the wicker,
but I'm way behind in getting my patriotic vibe going.
Each time I think about that the fact that this year is half over,
 my head spins.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. The simple joy in finding things stashed far out measures the frustrations of forgetting where we put them in the first place. :) Love that postcard and your patriotic nod.
