Grapevine Bunny Basket

Last week I was wanting something new and fresh for Easter and Spring; something that made a bit of a statement and that was fun and colorful. I was hoping (hopping) for a moss covered rabbit or something organic, so I headed to my favorite local wholesale-type floral shop to see what they had. I found this adorable black/white rabbit (made from some kind of grassy material) with a basket on his back. He was one of three styles of these cuties. Then I browsed their previously made floral arrangements and found an idea that I thought would work...

I already had one of the grapevine baskets, and some other Springtime silks,
so I grabbed a few bundles of mini tulips and came home with a plan.

Mr. Bunny Man fit perfectly in the grapevine basket,
and I secured him with some tan colored tissue paper.
He was pretty snug, so that helped anchor the tulips and bundle of carrots.

I entwined A Pussy Willow Branch and a Forsythia Branch
on either side to help frame the arrangement.

He's on the coffee table in my wired tray
with my Restoration Hardware Watering Can.

Love this wonderful galvanized watering can from England.
It was a Birthday present years ago from my older daughter.
We can hang out at RH for hours.

This is a fun change to the coffee table,
since it had basically had the same elements since last Fall.

I have tealights in the vintage flower pots.

He looks like he's smiling in the pic above.

so handsome...

I've been busy bringing in Spring to the rest of the house.
I'll be sharing that soon...

lean in for a little bunny kiss!

  5. This is beyond precious, Debra! I never would have been creative enough to have added all of the flowers and those little carrots! A wholesale floral shop...incredible. Heaven!!

I'm making an Easter basket for my granddaughter. She just turned one. I made one last year as well with just a few collectibles. I want to make her a little something every year with things she can treasure. I'm going to find a basket, hopefully as pretty as yours, that her mom can use in her decor later

Hope you're having a great weekend!
