Vintage Inspiration Friday # 66 Toile, Plaid and the Winners!

One concept has been going on in my head as I've started decorating
for Chistmas this year, and that is that I want to
do something different.
It's easy to get stuck in a rut each year,
so I've been changing things up a bit.

This is a peek at what I'm doing in the Dining Room.
You all know how I love plaid,
but usually I've corralled it in the Sunroom.
This year I ran with it for the Dining Room too.

But I love me some red toile,
so that's also part of the fun this year.

and of course, add a little of this on the tree...

mix it all together, and you get some of this...

more coming on the Dining Room soon...

So now for some inspiration from last week:

has a great idea for gifting this Christmas.
(More on paperwhites from me, next week!)

Julie from Saltbox Treasures takes us along on a tour
of her flea space full of Vintage Christmas Goodies!

  11. So funny, I have been working today on a tablescape with a plaid tablecloth with blue in it. I love the red, green and blue. I made a tree shirt out of one of the plaid fabrics you featured today. It is hard to find those now and how I wish I had bought the napkins to match. Anyway, we like so many of the same things. I always enjoy your posts. Have things scattered all over the house so I must get busy! Thanks for all your fun ideas.

Thanks so much for a fun visit to your site to enjoy even more of these treasures. I've added you to my Christmas blog party roundup for the Sandwich Generation caregivers who aren't always able to get out and about for the holidays. Have a delightful week.

  62. Hi Debra! You know, I keep thinking about participating in Vintage Friday since I have a number of interesting items in my collections, but since I started school in September, I've barely been able to keep posts on - down to only two a week! Difficult to visit regularly, too - though I have been lurking . . .

So, I'm checking in here with my tree and my vintage angel on top - plus all things nostalgia. More vintage things to come this month, too! Loving all the inspiration with you - as always - and your sweet spirit. Thank you for hosting so many talented and inspiring decorators and collector!

    Joy!
