Front Porch and Landscaping Update
I've been trying to get this post out for awhile, waiting on warmer weather to get some flowers and a fern for the front porch. We had a lot of rain and chilly weather with freezing temps even at the beginning of May. My Cervical Spine problems and surgery have kept me from being able to get plants and flowers potted, so I had to wait for last weekend to persuade my husband to take me out to find some. We tried 3 different places and since I'm about 4 weeks behind on this project all the plants were picked over and way overpriced. I had to make choices in a hurry because the nurseries were crowded and 3/4 of the customers weren't bothering to wear masks. I ended up with a bit of a hodge podge, but at least I have a few colorful blooms.

All About Home #40
Hi Friends and Welcome,
Thanks so much for coming by to visit and join in on the party this week. My postponed Cervical Spine Surgery finally happened this last Monday (a week ago today). I wasn't sure when I would feel up to blogging, but I'm on the mend. It's a slow process, but I'm making good progress. Thankyou for all your prayers and well wishes!

A Little Spring Vintage on the Baker's Rack and Surgery Update
Hi Friends, I just wanted to share a quick post letting you know I survived the Cervical Spine surgery that I had on Monday. I guess "survived" is the correct term, but it's not been an easy few days. I'm home and taking it really easy. I'm not in a cervical collar, which is nice, but I feel a little vulnerable to moving wrong or overdo-ing it. I thought I'd share a pic of my Spring Baker's Rack that I put together last week with some vintage birdie and garden items for a small distraction. It may be awhile before I can do much else around here.

French Faience in the Holiday Cupboard
A few weeks ago I decided to try something a little different here in the Holiday Cupboard, by bringing out my French Pottery aka my "wedding china". When I was choosing my china pattern for my Bridal Registry back in the 70's, I fell in love with this beautiful handpainted romantic look.

All About Home #38
Hi Friends and Welcome,
Thanks so much for coming by to visit and join in on the party. I know the warmer weather with some sunny days is helping all of us feel a little better. Just getting out of the house and wandering around in the yard boosts my mental and emotional well-being. I hope you're enjoying your Spring and finding creativity and inspiration to bring some joy into your daily life.

Farmtable Vintage Bucket with Tulips
Do you have a spot that causes you to be continually thinking about the next fun change-up? The farm table in the Garden Room is one of those spots for me. After all the Easter bunnies and forsythia were put away, I wanted to use this big bundle of white faux tulips before (real tulips) were a thing of the past. Spring flowers and shrubs just don't last long enough!

All About Home #37
Hi Friends and Welcome,
We had a great turnout this last week. Thanks so much for coming by and joining in on the party. It's a high point of my week to see all the great ideas and wonderful decor and recipes that you all bring to the table. This is such a difficult time for all of us in so many different ways, and I'm so grateful that we can reach out and encourage each other!

Rainy Day Busy-ness
Hello, my friends...
This is a bit of a random post, but I wanted to share a few pics of what I've been up to around here. I felt the motivation to change out my Holiday Cupboard china from green transferware to my French Faience. And here in the Dining Room, I haven't shown you my sweet little ceramic rabbit tureen that I made many years ago, and has been here for Easter.

All About Home #36
Hi Friends and Welcome,
We're finally back on a warming trend. Real Spring weather instead of down to freezing every night and cold rain. Brrr. I'm hoping that I'll be able to find a few annual flowers like impatiens and geraniums to bring in some color. I'm ready for some Spring garden inspiration. How about you all? Thanks so much for coming by and joining in on the link party!

Spring Thing in the Hearth Room
Hello everyone, hope you're well and keeping your sanity. (I'll get back to you all on that one...)
I took a lot of pics several weeks ago when I was decorating for Spring and Easter. The Hearth Room didn't get Easter decor; no bunnies or things, but more of a Spring theme. Actually it hasn't changed too much since early March. Lambs and sheep are a favorite of mine, so the little bench in front of the sofa has one of my sheep and a twiggy basket of Paperwhites.

All About Home #35
Hi Friends and Welcome,
We're so glad you're here for the party. I personally really appreciate each and every one of you that comes by to visit and share what you've been up to each week. I try to visit each person who links up, but I've been limited on the amount of time I can spend sitting at the computer, as I'm waiting for the go-ahead on my cervical spine surgery. Please just know Amber and I thank all of you for coming by and joining in on the party each week. I hope you all had a blessed Easter Week.

Garden Room Easter
Well, I've started this post several times and now I'm just down to the concept of sharing some pics from the Garden Room this Easter season. I'm at the place where I need to think and speak positive thoughts. Having the Garden Room to play in is good therapy for me, and it's easy to tweak things for a new look and "outlook".

Easter's on it's Way in the Entry
Celebrating Easter this year will be different, but maybe even more special as we seek spiritual hope and guidance during this uncertain time. When we watch the news or think too much about what's going on in the world around us, we might be considering putting some things on hold. Blogging about decor might seem frivolous to some but helps many of us stay plugged in with others and social. And... it's a wonderful way to stay positive and inspired.

Farmtable Bunny Basket Centerpiece
Today I wanted to share a Bunny Basket I put together a few years ago, that this year is on the farm table in the Garden Room. Since there hasn't been any shopping for a while, I'm celebrating Spring and Easter with a few old friends.

Change in plans...
Happy Sunday friends. I hope you're having a good weekend. We finally have some sun, and it's time for our first mowing. Spring is here, no matter what's going on around us.
I wanted to check in and let you all know that I received a call Friday telling me all surgeries at my hospital had been cancelled. Not just elective or qualifying but all non emergency scheduled. So, since mine was "scheduled" it's not an emergency to them, despite my neurosurgeon advocating on my behalf. We don't even have that many cases of the virus in our town, but that's what has happened. You can imagine how disappointed I am with that decision, because we all know the effects of the virus are going to be long term. I have no idea how long this reschedule will take. So, I'm going to continue co-hosting All About Home with Amber until I know something otherwise. Just like the bunny below... I'm going to enjoy the Spring season and celebrate Easter as usual.

Spring Goat Cart and Contemplating Life at This Moment
I started out wanting to share my French-y goat cart filled with tulips and forsythia, but then I started writing and this post just tumbled out. I'm just a bundle of emotions this last few weeks. It's not the staying home that is the problem because I haven't been out a lot this last 9 months, but I guess it's the idea that we can't, and all the unknowns that go with that. I want to be honest here, and not put on a happy "mask". I think the last thing we all need is being made to feel like the emotions we are dealing with are wrong or inconsequential. Some of us are doing good and handling it in stride, but if you're having a difficult time that's OK too. We shouldn't be afraid to admit it.
