Meet... Sherri Mitchell

Every once in a while a blog comes along
that just causes me
to fall in love...

I'd like to introduce you to Sherri Mitchell.
If you haven't met her yet, I know you'll want to.
She's only been blogging since December,
but her humor and ability to make you feel right at home,
reads like an old friend.

Her talent for creating paper goods
and her beautiful photography skills
cause her blog to be just this side of heaven.

I was captivated my very first visit...

Sherri is my newest sponsor so
I'd love for you to drop by her blog and say "Hello",
and to visit her wonderful online shop where she carries
Beautiful handcrafted paper gift tag sets and greeting cards.

Thanks Sherri, for letting me share your beautiful blog and shop!

Angels Among Us

A little gift arrived in the mail a few days ago. My sweet friend Cheryl from Zany Mayd had been the winner of a necklace give away of mine last month, and just look what she sent me!

And you might say, "He's adorable, but he's a snowman!"
and I would say,
"Yes, He's a snowman, but just look at this!"

This little snowman just happens to have wings!
I think he must be a "snow angel".

Truly a sweet blessing;
just look at the details...

I love the hat, the scarf, the little springs for arms, (and the flower bouquet). The yarn, the fringe. The spool of thread with a jewelry embellishment! I'm in love. I don't know if she knows that I collect "snow people", but this will be a treasured addition to the family!!

Oh, and that crooked little smile!

I love this Bible verse.
It always makes me wonder...

Hebrews 13:2  Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels unawares.

Thank you Cheryl,

xoxo,

A Personal Thank You

I just want to take a minute and thank you for helping make
Design Challenge a success.

I started blogging because I wanted to connect with people,
share ideas and inspiration, and feel like I was part of a "community".
If I ever thought it was "all about me" that concept faded fast.

The reason behind Design Challenge
was born out of the idea of helping others.
I knew that there's some amazing talent out here in blogland,
and that we could all share our ideas and expertise,
(or lack thereof)
with our community of blogging friends.

Sometimes we need a fresh approach,
a helping hand,
and a new direction.

Sometimes we need encouragement
and the knowledge that others are willing to walk that extra mile with us.
As I said yesterday to a friend,

"I think a friend along the road to the destination,
makes it a much more enjoyable journey."

So thank you for taking the time to be a part of this,
it's not for me, but for the one that's been brave enough to open up
and say Hey, I need a little help.
Thanks for your wonderful comments,
even if it's just an "atta girl"!

And I want to ask for special prayers
for my dear friend, Anne,
Her mom has undergone surgery
and is in a very serious, fragile state.
Please remember them.

much love,

I'm having a 15% off sale

Just type in thanks1125 at checkout.

This is a new tool at Etsy,
so there should be a place for Promotion Code.
Let me know if you experience any problems or have questions.

And also my two sweet friends,
 Polly from the French Cupboard

and Jami from

Out and About at Riverview Antique Mall

I've had these photos of my friend Laura's booth at Riverview
in Ozark for several weeks.
(can someone say "get your rear in gear"?)

She has this new bigger booth that is always my #1 destination.
I always find something wonderful there.
(she has great prices too!)

Laura is a dear, so enjoy browsing.
She was changing out some things when I was there
so I just took vignette photos.
If you're in the area, be sure to look her up.

Hey Guys!!!

love,
Debra
