Vintage Cottage Weekend: Easter on the Baker's Rack

Hello dear friends, I hope you're having a lovely Easter Weekend! Easter is often chilly and rainy here in SW Missouri and it seems this weekend is no exception. How many times when I was a kiddo did we have to wear a winter coat over our pretty new Easter outfit?

I have a few more pics of Easter goodness out in the Garden Room. You all know I never met a shelf that I didn't have the urge to decorate ...with something seasonal and vintage. The baker's rack is my original fun spot to display plants, collected vintage pieces, and dishware odds and ends.

Since I'm not actively buying and selling vintage goods any longer, I don't have the opportunity to get out and scour flea markets and garage sales for cute little pieces of holiday decor, like in the past. Shopping for vintage has always been my favorite pastime, but by the looks of my storage room downstairs I don't really need anything. But I do have a lot of pieces that I can mix around for new displays and vignettes, I just need to get creative.

I have a couple of cute little mini wheelbarrows
that beg for a rabbit and some garden goodies.

A vintage spice box holding some old seed packets,
and my sweet little bunny is the perfect size to hide in a spice drawer.

These old embroidered bunnies have been with me for years,
since I found them at a flea market.
They're hitching a ride with a fuzzy bunny pal
in another tabletop wheelbarrow.

A Paper Mache hand painted rabbit,
and 90's Royal Doulton "Bunnykins" Baby Dish Set.

  3. I always love your use of crages and little boxes and totes to caddy garden treasures. You always do a great job of setting up "new" seasonal vignettes with your old treasures, so no need to hoard more! That's what I am trying to convice myself of at least!

It always looks fresh and new to me as a reader, though with a few favorite items I have come to love seeing in your posts when you bring them out for the holidays, like that handmade stuffed rabbits.

I have enjoyed every single spring and Easter post you have shared this season!
