New Year's Tree

Once in a while I have a post that stands the test of time and I like to share it again. After 12 years this little New Year's Tree still feels relevant and lovely in photos and sentiment. Thinking back 12 years ago, it's a new group of friends and bloggers, now. So I hope you'll enjoy taking a peek at this small nostalgic moment in time to reflect on the New Year.

(please excuse the older camera version)

"I like to change things out after Christmas. I enjoy the Christmas decor while it's up, but then after Christmas, I like to put things away and return to a "winter" theme in my decor. One thing I've really loved is my New Year's Tree, that I put together a few years ago. I still wanted some sparkle and whimsy after putting away the Christmas things, and so my little tree was conceived. Stark pewter branches are bejeweled with glitter snowflakes, tiny bells, antique pocket watch faces, blue miniature Shiny Brites, and little doves. It became my way to usher in the New Year with prayers for peace, joy, and God's blessing."
