Farmhouse Thanksgiving in the Garden Room

Hello Friends, even though many of us have moved on to Christmas decor and posts, I still have several photos of this year's Thanksgiving decor that I want to share. I like to keep a visual diary of my holiday decor here on the blog. That way I can look back next year for some inspiration, and maybe some of you might like to take a peek, too. I've tried to condense a lot of photos so that I can cover the whole Thanksgiving Garden Room into one bigger post.

I've started my Christmas decorating too. I realized awhile back that even having Christmas trees up and lit helps a bit on making an easier transition to Christmas. Years ago, I started decorating my trees with leaves and a Thanksgiving theme allowed me to mix Christmas, late fall, and Thanksgiving. I think it makes a pretty combination with a woodsy vibe... fall leaves, woodland creatures, and twinkle lights.

Here on the table I wanted to elevate my big turkey fella,
so he's standing on a vintage legged chopping block.

I created a tabletop tableau with one of my favorite little vintage fall prints, pumpkins, and a vintage wood and raffia church atop a homemade transferware cupcake stand. The little church reminds me of a tiny English Country chapel.

My little white vintage desk has become a fun place to create seasonal vignettes. The gray goat cart brings Thanksgiving and Christmas together with pumpkins and a small lighted tree.

Keeping small plants in a galvanized tray makes
it easier to water and display them in clay pots,
without a lot of mess.

The Thanksgiving Baker's Rack has long been
the home of most of my small turkey s&p and planters.

Did you catch the Hop last week with Fall Feathered Friends?

My small vintage spice cabinet hosts a little nesting spot for a partridge.

I did try to straighten up the lower shelf this time!
Often it's a "gardeny" mess.

I'm using my late Fall Scottish Tartan blankets
and handmade hooked wool pillows on the wicker settee.
It's a comfy spot for morning coffee.
I've loved the warm and cozy darker colors of the plaid woolens.

to share a little Christmas decor.
I'll be sharing this year's farm table soon.

  4. I always love your baker's rack. It's identical to mine in style/shape, etc. And somehow, yours is so elegant and mine, try as I might, ends up being a catchall for kitchen things! I love all your holiday decor.
