Valentine Botanical Farm Table Vignette

Hi Everyone, I hope you're having a sweet Valentine's Day weekend!
A few weeks ago I was part of a fun blog hop where we each shared our ideas for Winter Botanicals and Gardens. It gave me a real emotional lift to be thinking about Spring during this long and cold stretch of winter. I've had that farmtable vignette out in the Garden Room since the hop, and last week I decided to tweak it a bit and give it a Valentine's Day spin with a few vintage postcards.

This is the Valentine's Day version...

And this is the "winter" version from late last month...

Winter Botanicals and Gardens Blog Hop

I added in some Valentine paper goods, post cards,
and a little PINK to give it a romantic flair.

A vintage book with a chapter called
"The Broken Heart".

Mini silk "everlasting" rosebuds bring a soft romantic feel.

I traded out the old watering can
for one of my vintage garden cupid statuaries.

When I had a vintage market space, one of our dealers' daughters
created these precious one-of-a-kind crowns that was made-to-measure
for my little cupid's head.

I'm using two pots of faux paperwhites to bring in
a bit more of the Spring feels.

I traded out the live fern under the cloche for a small heart shaped rosebud creation
and a sweet postcard from the late 1900 teens.

All these Valentine garden elements are in my reproduction seed tray that usually is on the Living Room coffee table. I've enjoyed having it out here in the Garden Room and just may have to keep it a little longer. I love a large tabletop tableau here on the farmtable no matter what the season. We don't use this table unless we have family here, but I can easily remove it if need be.

I hope you'll join us Monday evenings for

  6. Oh, how beautiful! I just love the idea of creating such a lovely scene inside a tray. It would make things so easy to remove, if need be. Your home is so lovely!
