Welcome to my un"Official" Fall Home Tour

Hi Friends, this is a post from our previous home in 2017. We may no longer live there but it's still one of my favorite Fall "Home Tours".

I think I have all the photos together now to put together my annual Fall Home Tour that I will keep on the sidebar for the rest of the season. Each year, I like to bring all the Fall Decor into one post to remind myself how I decorated that year. So I'll keep the words to a minimum and let you look around. Welcome!

We've lived in this house for the last three years, and I think it's about 13 years old. When we bought it we just did cosmetic work as in painting the entire interior, changing up the kitchen to make a small sitting area, and putting in new carpet in the bedrooms. The biggest changes came on the outside with  a rebuilt deck in back, new landscaping, shutters, and new paint on the front door.

It has a lower level walk out basement with two other bedrooms, bath, and a large family area with bar and fireplace. Most importantly it has lot's of storage, and for us that was really important, plus it's less than a mile from my husband's office so that makes it really convenient. We are on the south edge of the city, with wooded acreage nearby and lot's of trees.

Come on inside to our Entry Area and Dining Room
that are at the front of the house.

The Dining Room is small, and we have "big" furniture,
but I'm glad I can have a place to play with tablescapes and Table arrangements.

This is a very open concept upper level, basically one large room,
but it seems more spacious because of the high ceilings.

Furnishings are basically neutral except for the rugs, because I really enjoy decorating with the Seasons. A change up of pillows and accessories are my easy way to keep things transitioning from one season to the next.

My favorite room in the house;
My Kitchen Sitting Room is where all the fun
of vintage accessories and textiles come out to play.

I've had this old door for years, and it's a constantly changing display
of wreaths, mirrors, prints, and anything that can be hung on a wall.

I had the wreath up for a while before I decided it needed some help with a few Hydrangeas to fill in, so some pics were taken before, some after, but I kept the Hydrangeas in.

Our kitchen is a pretty compact space,
but it's usually just me doing the cooking, so plenty big enough.

My husband, daughter and I painted the kitchen cabinets ourselves, and I would do it again anytime. Honey Orange Cabinets were not for me. The difference was literally night and day.

A view from the kitchen...

Thanks so much for coming by, you can get a closer look by double clicking on any photo, and also see more by checking the archives for older Home Tours from our previous home. Have a great rest of the weekend!

xoxo,
