A little "Country" Inspiration...

You all know how much I love my Country Living UK Edition. I look forward to their Fall issues because they never disappoint. They are the best at conveying the essence of Autumn in their wonderful vignettes and styling. Outdoor shoots filled with jeweled leaves, berries, potting sheds, tree lined country lanes, dogs, sheep, and horses can make me want to crawl right in to those images of the bucolic countryside and set up house. Here are a few images from the current October issue, and then a few from the 2009 October issue.

enjoy...

They know how to get my attention...

Right now I'm into anything with a plaid wool throw on it.

And of course an Autumn shoot in the Potting Shed.

2009 image. Don't you love these Fall pastels?

I'm lovin' this wonderful green bistro table and chair.

And I've been dreaming of this style of sofa.
Love the grain sack stripes, but I think I'd opt for a solid color.

It's overcast today, but I'm hoping it will clear out and give us a little sunshine. Now that the outside work on the house is finished, hubbs and I have some powerwashing and shrub trimming to do. My mums have seen better days, but I did grab a couple of new ones and more pumpkins for the porch steps. All in all, my Early Fall Fun has been lackluster. I need to redeem it. Hopefully some "leaf changing" will get me back on track.
Thank you, to everyone who visited over at Marty's A Stroll Thru Life yesterday when she featured me. Your sweet comments made my day!

Have a wonderful Sunday,
xoxo,

You still have time to enter this wonderful Give Away

  6. I need to subscribe! I've always wondered where that image came from with the blue bistro chair. As for the sofa...if I was to buy a new sofa...that is the shape I would get. I've always loved that shape.

  9. Hi Debra... that is my very favorite magazine ever!... infact, I just mentioned it in the post I just did too... I subscribe to it so I get it sooner than our Barnes and Noble does where I used to get it... I can hardly wait for each issue to arrive, especially in Autumn!... and I linger over them with a cup of coffee for hours... I also get a copy on my "Nook" so I can take it with me wherever I go... and I get my next months Nook issue in advance so it's fun looking at them both!... also, if I have my Nook with me in my purse, and I want to look at something I saw in the magazine, it's easy to find... don't you wish Autumn would last forever!... loved your feature at Marty's... your home is just so beautiful, like you... xoxo Julie Marie

  11. I love that most ANY color can be called Autumn these days....I love the pinks, oranges, greens and light golds.
I've not tried the British editions of my favorite magazine. I just assumed they were the same all over the world.
    Have a good week...

  18. That is one of my favorite magazines. I actually tend to gravitate towards the ones that come from England for some reason. Thanks for sharing such great inspiration!

  21. THIS is what Country Living USA USED to be like! Now it is awful :( I think that I've been tempted to buy only one issue in the grocery store this entire year; you make me want to buy the UK one! :)
