"Hoo Said That?"

I have several little friends that haven't been able to make their appearance this Fall, since they're all packed away and waiting till next year. But once in a while I hear a little hoot, chirp, or baaaa, and know they are wondering what happened to October. They were the star of the Late October Show. Don't worry, we'll share a few pics from yesteryear.

We're making progress on the house, painting the bedrooms, pretty much finished with the basement, painted basement stairway and installed a new stair runner. The woodwork has been painted "Alabaster White", and today they are changing out light fixtures and installing several white flush mount ceiling fans. Next week the laundry demo starts and things get rolling big time. We work our rears off on the weekend getting done what we can. Last weekend we primed and painted 14 cabinet doors for the mudroom and laundry, painted the bedroom hallway, painted my office and the Master Bedroom, and another hundred miscellaneous jobs. It's wonderful seeing the transformation! I'll have some posts sharing the before and afters soon.

Have fun today, be safe.

  1. Love your cabinet of curiosities, the baker's rack and the lamb (of course!).
How are you feeling Debra? What's all this work doing to your health picture? Can't wait to see all that you've done to make it your home!

    1. To my surprise I'm feeling pretty good. I was so reluctant to start this because of everything I've been through. We work hard and have to recover Monday and Tuesday, but I'm getting stronger with all the up and down ladders and exercise. I DO have to have some caffeine to keep me going but I'm keeping up, and feel like I'm getting some muscle back. Thanks for asking, Rita!

    1. I'm not doing a very good job documenting things, cause I haven't wanted to tote my camera back and forth. I have to do better on that cause we've got tons of "before"! I do have realtor photos, but the white woodwork is nothing short of miraculous!
