Out and About... and some fabulous old grain sacks and fabric

Hi Everyone, I wanted to do a quick post and share a few snaps from a day out this last week. It was my Birthday and my sis and I headed out for lunch and then a stroll through The Vintage Peddler, here in Springfield. LOVE this place!!! (yes, I actually dragged myself out of my stupor to go have a chicken salad sandwich and peach tea, then do some shopping) These are phone pics, so sorry for the lack in quality. Hopefully all the great vintage goods will make up for bad photos.

 totally love bird prints!

 does this cupboard look familiar?
it's the Holiday Cupboard!

(borrowed this photo from The Vintage Peddler FB page)

I wanted to share these next photos with you.
I didn't take them, they were on their FB photo page.
There's a new room opened that carries grain sacks,
and tons of vintage draperies and fabrics.
They are amazing and I bought a piece for a tablerunner.
(Hope no one minds that I'm showing off your wonderful fabrics,
by way of photo borrowing. I watermarked the pics before I realized it.)

So, here's the piece of fabric I bought. I'd say it was a piece from some old drapery. The seams look to be hand-stitched, and even though there is some wear it's a wonderful muted piece that just matches my Dining Room wall color. (Needs a little more time with an iron)

I found this sweet little Majolica bunny plate there too.
He's happily nibbling his carrots till I get things organized for Spring.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend,

xoxo,

  6. Happy Belated Birthday, Debra! I am in lurve with your gifts to yourself - both the runner and the bunny majolica - great choices! Your friend's displays are all knockouts. She's got a real gift in her choice of selections and staging.

  8. The first thing I spied was that sweet trellis you took a close-up of. So many wonderful goodies in the shop! I'm glad you got out for some retail therapy and lunch and came home with 2 new treasures. The bunny plate is adorable!
