My Year in Pictures...

It's the time of the year, as all bloggers know, to take a look back at what we've blogged about this last year; basically to do a little recap and review of 2016. I'm a little short on projects, room reveals, and DIY's. I didn't travel the world, go to enlightening blog conferences, or have a feature in one of my favorite decorating magazines. Those are all great things, but basically that hasn't been my year in 2016.

Valentine's Day Entry

In truth, I thought I might skip this little post, but as I considered this last year, I realized all those previously mentioned accomplishments don't usually happen to most people or even most bloggers. I've often felt like after almost 8 years, I really don't have much interesting left to share, at least not much exciting and noteworthy that's going on in my life right now.

I started looking back thru my photos for focus and inspiration, as I often do. I realized that it's not always the "big things" that we find compelling about a certain blog. All the exciting projects, accolades and notoriety are the icing on the cake, but it's the person behind the blog that we find we're drawn to.

This has been a year to focus on getting my health issues resolved and trying to get my life back to some kind of normal. I'll not be seeing 50 again, but I want to be as good as I can be and then take life as it comes. Sharing with you all here on the blog, gives me something creative to do and look forward to.

 So, here are some pics of life as it is;

  3. It is definitely the person behind the blog that attracts me - YOU! - but I so enjoy your little things that have inspired you and, consequently, inspire me, as shown through your pictures. Speaking of pictures, your new profile is terrific. Who cares if we don't see the 50s anymore (I'll join that club in June), we're getting wiser on things that matter. Here's to the best of health and happiness for you in 2017, Debra! Happy New Year.
