Christmas in the Cupboard

With just a week left before Christmas, I still have a few things around the house that I've wanted to share with you. My Holiday Cupboard went all white this year, as I sorted through my putz houses and churches. I  was going to do just white ironstone and a few new (to me) pieces of red transferware, but each time I thought about it, I knew my little churches needed to come back out.

just a little wonky steeple.

I love these guys, he looks like he has on a "stache", te he.

Print of a church from England from an old book plate.

I hope they're not head butting!

Most of my little churches are old, but a few are new, and then some are made to hold candles inside. Pretty much a mish mash, but I love them.

This print from the 40's makes me long for the more simpler times in life; bundled up, walking to the country church.

Looks like my helper is fancying a little "Christmas Goose"!

Joining in for these parties this week:

Hope you're having a peaceful week before Christmas,
sending lots of hugs your way,
xoxo,

What a gorgeous hutch, Debra! I am in love with all of your beautiful churches. And the deer are so sweet! I also really love your framed vintage church prints. Such a pretty vignette you have created!

I have that same little glitter church with the wonky steeple...minus the steeple! The steeple must have been lost somewhere throughout the years at grandma's house, or maybe she acquired it w/o the steeple. I love those vintage little houses at Christmas. They remind me of when I used to rearrange her Christmas village all the time.

Debra...what Blogger feature do you use to switch the rotating photos in your header?

I love your cupboard all decorated for Christmas. The collection of churches is a wonderful idea. I've just recently spotted a vintage church and couldn't think of
how to work it into my decorations. Guess I needed lots more!

I adore your little Putz churches. You have them arranged so beautifully in your white cupboard. I found a couple of new Putz churches last year and have seen a few more this year. Don't know if I'll spring for another one or not -- I do think they are so precious. I'm so glad you brought them back into your decor again this year.

I've been building a village of chipboard houses and churches for my daughter over a number of years. It's always delightful when she brings them out and builds her little town for the Christmas season. I'm excited to share your beautiful display with her. Thank you for inviting us for a peak. This is so sweet, I love all of the little houses, they bring back a lot of childhood memories for me. My mom collects them and it was one of my favorite things to put up each year as a kid. Thank you for sharing with us, wishing you a very Merry Christmas :)

I love it! I didn't know anyone else collected churches. My daddy was a Pastor, so I'm collecting churches in his memory. I grew up in church and loved it. Was also my daddy's piano player. Merry Christmas!
